MAC Cosmetics Review: The Fruity Juicy Collection

Hey guys!

I have a quick little review here for you on the new MAC Fruity Juicy Collection. I just have to start off by saying that I completely adore the packaging on this collection. As soon as I saw it, I automatically thought of tropical, summery goodness!

Pearl Matte Face Powder in Oh My, Passion!

This face powder is truly unique and is in a ballpark of its own. The colours blend beautifully when swirled together and create a super unique peachy, light coral with a yellow/gold sheen. I was unsure at first of how it would look as a blush, but I am loving how flawless it looks when blended into the apples of the cheeks.

MAC eyeshadows can be so hit or miss, they are either amazing or they lack the pigmentation I look for to create a fun look. I really enjoyed the colour selection in this particular palette, and found that for the most part I enjoyed using it. The bright fuchsia & orange shades were a little hard to blend but I had good colour payoff. I hated the glittery shade in the middle at first, as I found it had no pigmentation and was just a powdery mess. But when paired with my MAC paint pot (an eyeshadow cream base)  the second time around, I enjoyed it all over the lid and found it to be quite pretty.

Lipstick in Shy Girl

I had been looking for a new Cremesheen nude lipstick as I was beginning to become bored with all of the drying liquid lipsticks lately. I really enjoyed this shade as I found it to be very moisturizing on the lips, and a very comfortable, easy wear. It reminded me a lot of MAC’s Pure Zen which has always been an original favourite of mine.

Cremesheen Glass in CHA-CHA-CHA

This is a classic MAC Lipglass. If you are not familiar with the formula, they are quite sticky and thick. I don’t personally like to wear them over top of lipsticks as I find it just gets a little too thick and clumpy. I enjoy the formula though for wearing on its own, and enjoy this particular nudey/pink shade a lot especially for an easy summer makeup day.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Hey Alesha I like reading all your reviews and I was just wondering if you have ever tried Younique products or have done a review? it would be nice to know a point of view from someone that has more experience with different products

      Hi Jodie!
Thanks so much for the suggestion. I have been asked a few times to do some reviews on products like Yonique/Arbonne. I’m a little skeptical to do so because there are so many people who sell the product in the area I live, and if I had any negative feedback to share I would not want to upset anyone.
      Thanks!
